skirt: if you could learn any dance style, which would it be?
I’ve always wanted to learn ballroom dancing, like the waltz or those rockin’ 1920s dances like swing or foxtrot or charleston
post: if an apocalypse were to happen, what do you think the situation would be?
I can’t really understand the question… The situation means the cause? If so, I reckon either ww3 or an alien invasion
blog: what’s something you’ve learned from having your blog?
I’ve learnt that just because we don’t want to talk about something with our real life friends doesn’t mean we don’t want to talk about period.
Thanks for the questions, Anon!
Plot twist: The next companion is a normal girl/boy who only dies once in their lifetime and has no remarkable back story but he thinks they’re wonderful because they are human and the Doctor needs reminding that you don’t need to be a mystery to be remarkable.

I think I’ve finally figured out what’s been bothering me about Doctor Who’s writing lately. In RTD’s run, all of the long-term companions were regular people. They ended up doing extraordinary things, sure; but there was never anything too mystical or puzzling about them. However, it seems as…
That’s true. Donna became the most important person in the universe, but because she was absolutely unimportant. Same for Wilf or Martha. And Rose became important because she’s who the Doctor believes in. And Jack was made better. They all became important. Like Rory, really. But Amy, River and Clara have this mystical purpose that makes them important all along. They were made that way, and even if they weren’t the were made important since before their time (say Clara.)
Perhaps we do miss the regular Janes and Joes foiling evil plans. A break from the most important people ever saving the Doctor to stop the end of time and space wouldn’t hurt.
